Tottenham right-back DeAndre Yedlin has joined
Sunderland on a season-long loan.

The United States international had attracted
interest from several clubs from Germany, Italy
and Netherlands this summer but is now set to
gain more Premier League experience at the
Stadium of Light.

Yedlin made one top-flight appearance for Spurs
after joining up from Seattle Sounders last season
and dropped further down the pecking order
following Kieran Trippier's arrival to compete with
Kyle Walker.

Sunderland have the worst defensive record in the
league after four games of the 2015-16 season,
having let in 10 goals so far, and Yedlin is
expected to push current right-back Billy Jones
for his place in Dick Advocaat's team.

The American is currently in Washington with his
national team as they prepare for a friendly
against Peru on Friday.
